LEARN MOREOne of The Most Exciting Terroir in Italy
The Puglia is a land of ancient wine traditions. The Apulian plains have been a sanctuary for vines and olive trees since the times of the Phoenicians and Greeks. Homer himself spoke of this region as a place of “eternal spring” and it was these particular climatic conditions that favored an abundance and variety of refined wines. Vine cultivation was already practiced since the time of Greek colonization in the 8th century BC.
In ancient times, Puglia was the cellar of the Roman Empire with the production of olive oil and wine, the finest qualities of which can still be appreciated today.
